S. haematobium and S. mansoni are highly endemic in the northern regions of Kavango and Zambezi, affecting the villages along the Cubango, Chobe, and Zambezi rivers. S. haematobium is also endemic in the region of Omusati.

Risk of Schistosomiasis caused by: Schistosoma haematobium, Schistosoma mansoni

The main intermediate host snail is: Bulinus globosus, Bulinus africanus, Biomphalaria pfeifferi
