Schistosomiasis risk is present in the country, areas of risk are described:

S. haematobium is endemic in Guinea-Bissau, particularly in the valleys of the Cacheu and Geba rivers, and along the border with Guinea. There is no Schistosomiasis risk on the islands in the Bijagós Archipelago.
